Sport seat restoration

Thats how the liquid leather was a rubbery type of coating takes alittle while to fully cure but seals nicely
It feels completely different once the clear top coats are applied and tape sticks really well, I think most of the product has PVA in it

That makes sence some of the dying products require a bonder first they seemed rather involved , far easier ways to go about it thats for sure !

I tested this stuff, the over spray from the blue that was on the bolsters was really well stuck, I attacked it with a scotchbrite pad and it wore away and didn't tear at all, the final coat smelt the same as glue that I used at school, we used to call it fish glue, it was very rubbery.

Great work Sean, looks great. Hats off to you, I wouldn't have the patience to tackle a job like that!

Pretty robust then ! Saying that you gave it a supurb chance to stick if it hadn't you couldn't have prepped better

Absolutely brilliant Sean, it looks amazing:thumbsup:

The passenger seat is well on its way, most of the leather paint is off but needed to remove the base cover as the bolster had collapsed and there was also some bumps in the cover,
This is the cause of the bumps, not sure what it is but its under the heater, you can clearly see what was causing the problem, easy fix with a hot gun
