Split rim re-furb

Had my Style 78's done there a few years back now and run them in winter and they are still perfect. @gookah has just had his new summer wheels done there and has had 2 sets done from them in the past. For the price you can't go wrong. Don't think they do splits though.
Is this City Wheel Centre? Message from 2 Feb to me.

Hi, we charge £25 for split rims, and all prices quoted are total with nothing extra on top. Lee 0121 448 7646

Seems they have renamed themselves from City Powder Coaters. I wonder if they split them for that price? I would be surprised if they do and did a proper job for that price, it would most likely be a one colour coat over the complete wheel, bolts etc. If they did I wouldn't think they mask the parts that don't need coating as when they refurb any wheels they do the face that mates to the hub whereas most other don't. Someone needs to give them a go at that price!

Nice to know the finish is durable if yours are perfect after a few years including winter

Well I got mine back yesterday
They had the rims without tyres, chemical stripped, blasted and powder coated in metallic silver and it also included fitting and balancing my new tyres, all for £25 per wheel

They are not perfect, probably 80%, as you can still see some pitting from the original corrosion, but they cost 40% of anywhere else.

They look gorgeous on the car Pete, and bloody good value at that price. Wish I lived a little nearer to Brum.

Yep, they look good to me in the photos.
And now that @Antm72 is on holiday for two weeks, I am going to go and nick his wheels......:D

You don't need perfect all the time. So I think that's fine.

Perfect would have meant going elsewhere and spending more money so less money to spend on something else.

Or it might mean less time to spend on something else.

Perfect isn't always good ;)

That'd be telling.;)=))

Tony.

Those ACS look well good

Prefer the type III

Type II fine too.:smug:
