Huge thanks to Paul who has been in talks with BMW UK for the last month to try and organise an interesting starting point for this cruise. We were invited up to meet with one of their PR guys, and then chatted with their site catering manager and facilities manager.

They could not have been nicer, or more accommodating with our requests and are opening their facilities to us for free use. This will include the catering staff who will be making us tea/coffee and bacon butties, and also an extra guy for security duties to make sure we don't borrow one of the special cars they are putting on display for us. There will also be access to the toilets, so no need to find a bush before we leave!

As Paul mentions this is the first event of this type they will have had at their new head quarters, so we will need to make sure we are on our best behaviour ;). Seriously though, this has been organised by a director who has been coordinating this for the forum. We hope that this is an opportunity to build a good relationship with BMW should we wish to do similar in the future.

you lads have been busy have just got back from Spain looks like about 17 cars to me another fantastic turn out for your cruise Paul:party:

This is the new Corporate HQ of BMW UK.

Gary and myself met with the people at BMW UK today (8th August) We are going to be one of the first to hold a meeting at the new HQ. As they will be putting on staff for us for the meeting, Gary and Myself will be arriving early to arrange things in the car park in front of the three main buildings that the BMW group are located in. We have been given access to the area for our starting location as well as BMW supplying 'Bacon Rolls' and Tea / Coffee. If anybody requires a veggie option can they please PM me as soon as possible. I will also need any addition people who might be coming to post on the thread so that numbers can be passed to the catering team. They will also be putting on show a Z1 and a Z8 from the BMW Collection for us. I hope that as we are going to be one of the first, it will be a start of a good relationship with BMW. The main corporate public relations director is making this happen for us. I will say its been hard working behind the scene but in the end I hope we can all have a great day.

After the initial meet up and chatting, depending on the numbers we can leave in groups and head to the next coffee stop at the Cowdray Farm Shop Cafe.

So far I have the following confirmed and if you want to be added, please comment on the post or PM me please also mention if you are brining a passenger so that I can confirm the numbers. Thank you.

Well after the positive feed back regarding the New Forest 2015, I have decided to be a mug and organise another run but this time along the Central Hampshire roads and then the South Downs.

@Lina Hariri yes added to the list. You will find the zroadster.org a friendly bunch. Are you both ok with Bacon Rolls or do you need a veggie option ?

@oldcarman Jim, I love doing these meet ups as we all have a laugh and you get to enjoy life. I feel that a job is well done when nobody says 'that was c**p ' etc. The New Forest will hopefully be a yearly thing now as I hope this might be too.

Hope you are ok the other side of the big pond ?
 
It's hard for me knowing all of this family is gathering and I can't take part! it's something I've done for years here with the hot rod scene and this group has so many things going on that I would enjoy so much. But, that big swimming pool between you and me is a barrier right now as our $$ -£ ratio is in the basement. I love the writeups and pics as well as appreciate the organization it takes to make a run enjoyable for all that attend. I've done many myself over the years so thanks again for getting this together!! JIM
 
I would be very interested in coming along with my 3.0 estoril blue Z3. I will also ask my friend if he is interested as he has a 2.8 Z3. Thanks
 
@pgunter it was good to meet you yesterday at the N.M.A.We have been looking at hotels etc so we can join you all on the south downs cruise,can you recommend any where in that area ? Sara was thinking of making it a family outing possibly be travelling down there with the family bus and the Z.
 
@Hopalong64 Yes I will add you to the list. Can you confirm about your friend too so I can work out approximate numbers for BMW.

@Steven Bostock I will see what I can find. There is a Premier Inn in Camberley but from recollection the car park is not that big. Give me a few days and I will ask around.
 
@Low Rider Will it be just you or plus 1 ? Normal Bacon Roll ok too I hope ? I will add you as just yourself for the mean time unless I hear otherwise ok. Look forward to seeing you on the 20th September.
