I have two cars, one economical diesel for my commute to and from work and the ZED primarily as a backup work car, which I drive all other times other than work (e.g evenings and weekends).

I was wondering how many of you have their ZED as something for the weekend or use it as the primary for of transport...

It is a weekend car for another two weeks. Then the company car goes back and it will be my daily driver. Can't wait!

Evening POG - confession time, my M car is a little bit of a 'Garage Queen' , I make no apologies for that living high up in the Yorkshire Pennines. The Weather from October onwards is best described as - Inclement!
My daily drive is much more suitable for winter & my other 'life's Love' - Carp Fishing :).
That vehicle is...ta da a Subaru Legacy estate auto, complete with toys ;)

Daily driver & only car for me at the moment. Used to have a second for driving to work when not using the Z3, and for hauling the kids around.

I work freelance from home now, and the kids only ever want to come and see me one at a time so no point running two cars any more.

My daily drive is a company vehicle and as I work away from home 4 days a week I only get to drive my Zed at weekends, and even then, my Zed shares my affections with my old Mercedes 230ce coupe. I love them both and would hate to choose one over the other

Mine is my daily drive from 1st April till whenever the weather turns crap enough for hibernation, then the tractor (VW Touareg 2.5 tdi) lumbers back onto the road as it's T&T all year round. I take the rise out of the old thing but on a frosty morning those big, soft leather heated armchairs are rather nice. I think I'm going to find funds to keep the Z T&T all year round this year if I can.;)

Tony.

I intend to use it year round. But didn't quite get the HT sorted in time but this year will see a new soft top and HT ready to go thanks to some forum members. Have many other old cars to choose from my favourites being my son's 55 pontiac, 66 mustang and several Mercedes sedans. Hoping one day to get my 58 190sl roadworthy. JIM

Hi Jack I've a 91 190e that I gave to my son. Drove it half way across Canada and over the Rockies pulling a small but heavily loaded trailer. Put in 36 hrs straight and simply loved it. Has about 330km on it and needs some trans work but will sort that this summer. Want to push it to a half million and beyond. Not bad for a car cost the equivalent of less than £400. Passed our safety with nothing needed. I love those old Mercedes coupes. JIM

I have a black 320d touring that's my daily drive ( when I am not on the bike (cycle) ) and the Zed is mainly weekend use , I did more mileage on my bike than in the Zed last year (4000)
Bought the zed as a bit of project really as it's not the best example but keeping it on the road

I am fortunate to have my Zed as a weekend car, but to be more specific, any dry day with dry roads, I would give the car a quick clean and take it out through Summer and Winter months.
