I feel your pain!
I was washing my zed yesterday and noticed some scratches on the bonnet. They definitely weren't there last week because I gave the car the full wash, polish and HD wax treatment, so I know that they are new scratches.
Since last weekend, the car hadn't been driven, so it is obviously damage that has been caused since the car was parked outside my house.
Now this is a V reg, 2.0 base model Z3. It doesn't even have leather seats, it is that basic, so probably worth £3k tops. So why should anybody be jealous of it. I just don't understand the mentality of people!
I have had some issues with a neighbour recently who complained that I parked my cars on 'his' side of the road. I live on a terraced street, and there is parking on both sides of the road. If there are no spaces on 'my' side of the road, then I will park on the other side, bloody obvious decision if you ask me. But this 'neighbour' took offence to me parking on his side of the street. I wouldn't be surprised if he has taken it out on my zed. Fortunately the scratches aren't too deep and will probably t-cut out.

2 Rogered by a silver back gorilla
3 Have an xmas tree shoved up there arris, and have it pulled out there mouth
4 be made to walk around with a sign round there neck with the following on it: "I've damaged some persons property what a t**t i am"
Sorry to hear this, i bet you would love them to clean your sump hardtop (just after you had run them over)
