Slowest Z Tweak Thread in the History of the Forum

I'm back, I"M BACK!

And my poor z3 has been off the road for 6+ months. I did a "pre" MOT check at a new garage (my old garage closed down, old guy retired :-/) and they found a bunch of stuff -- some of it had been conveniently not noticed by my old garage...

So yeah, passenger left side airbag needs replacing (they finally noticed a previous owner had remove the light from the dashboard!). Possibly ABS pump (not sure, might actually be a wrong call there)..

Can someone point me to a part list for the 2.8 so I can find part numbers and finaly start hunting for parts?

Try here....it's a start. https://www.bmw-spare-parts.com/bmw-cars/Z3/1999/Z3-2_8/Z3-28/48082CH32

These are my go to parts sites:

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select - EVERY part number is on here with all the part diagrams

Then put this part number into one of these two sites: (just my opinion)

https://www.sytnerstevenagebmwparts.co.uk/ - The main UK dealership for genuine new BMW parts

https://www.autodoc.co.uk/ - For MANY brands of aftermarket parts, loads of choice for every budget, many reputable brands like Lemforder, Bosch, Meyle, Mann etc. Only downside it 5-10 days delivery

Of course feel free to use Ebay and other sites like that but these are the only ones I TRULY trust

Be aware if you order from https://www.bmw-spare-parts.com/bmw-cars/Z3/1999/Z3-2_8/Z3-28/48082CH32 they only ship out of the USA for orders well over £100 and then you face paying import duty.
Autodoc have a vast range of Brands to choose from and their site will search using BMW part numbers.
Real OEM parts site already mentioned previously is the go to site for part numbers and parts diagrams, you can enter the last seven of the cars Vin number to fetch back your car and all the parts fitted to your vehicle when it was built. Its worth noting that Parts in Motion is part of the Autodoc company and sell on ebay. Because Autodoc has a presence in the UK no import duty is payable even though they ship parts from Berlin.
Always worth checking BMW dealers for parts prices they are sometime just as cheap as the others. When buying from BMW always ask for a forum discount, Sophers BMW at Lincoln and Cotswold BMW do but not all Sytner outlets do. There is of course Eurocarparts and GSF, worth noting is that CarParts4less on the internet is the Web only version of Eurocarparts and often cheaper than Euro and you can collect from Euro Branches if you have one near you.
For oil and filters take a look at Opie Oils online and if you order use the Forum discount code before you checkout either Z4Forum or Zroadster.

I think the opie oils code is ZROAD

Thanks a LOT guys, it is really motivating. I have to say I for quite a bit of down when I saw the list. Also I thought the ABS sensor was an easy thing I could do myself and the sensor in place proved impossible to remove. It eventually snapped, and I couldn't even extract it with a screw an pliers... I'm kinda out of my depth do I'm gathering parts and will drive the car to a garage to (I hope) get it all sorted. I miss my Z!

I have just tried all the above discount codes just as a test

They are all valid codes, ZROAD, Z4FORUM and ZROADSTER
but when trying to "test" buy some Liqui Moly 5w40 it says "THAT PROMO CODE CAN ONLY BE USED ON SELECTED PRODUCTS NONE OF WHICH ARE IN YOUR BASKET"

Does anyone know what the selected products are?
