I'm moving house soon so the past recent months have been spent fettling the house ready for sale and the cars have been a bit neglected, so as the day here was nicely overcast I decided to spend a morning on the Zed.

Well a good wash and dry, a thorough go with the clay bar, then a polish and finally finishing with a wax and it is absolutely glowing, so satisfying.

This is the best shade of blue I’ve seen on a Z3 ;)

Is it Imola red? Might be the pics but looks a brighter shade, a bit like Henna red (but that was an e30 prefacelift colour).
 
It's Hellrot II, which is the second iteration of the bright red that they did. Very close to the Ferrari red, just a bit redder if that makes sense.

I love a red Z :thumbsup: I keep threatening Shirl's oil burner with the clay and polish but it's never still long enough.:( It does look nice when it's shiny, but black always does.

Hellrot II !! And I thought my plain old Hellrot was shiny! “Redder than Ferrari red” Like it :thumbsup:

Must have been a few months since I said it about your car @Geophys so I'll say it again ;)

You're not only looking at a super shiny car but a Hellrot Red Sport and with Lotus white interior. Very rare beast :)
 
Very nice colour. A really deep shine on that. What wax have you used to seal that in ?

Yes took me a long time to find it, and I was lucky to get such a mint one as well. Always the colour combination I wanted.
