S50 progress thread..

i'll stick with the conti's i recon...altho i'll see what comes along ;)

they must be...there gona last you a life time :ymdevil:

just inspection 11 done along with the suspension finished off.
no shims needed
new gearbox and rear diff oil done
new rear brakes put on along with new carriers/pads and fluid.
the powerflex bushes were taken off as they pushed the front wheels to far forward...so we just stuck with new OEM on it.
not had chance to drive her proper yet but first impressions are good...much more planted...firm but not crashy...gears and final drive very smooth.
just need to add up the final bill now :-s

they will call you the pelican :ymdevil:

been called worse :))

little update..put half a tank in .... purely for experimental purposes you understand ;)
half an hour later and shes flat through the corners and i would say a good 20% faster around them before i felt i was pushing it.
however this extra speed is now contracted by the fact i have to crawl over speed bumps or pot holes :))
also im going to say that i never really bought into the fact the the the service light reset improves the performance ...but there is better performance...maybe down to new oils all round new plugs and filter other bits of magic they do...who knows..but it can only help anyway.

all in all im very impressed

pelican (everywhere you turn there is an enormous bill in front of you)

I'm not sure I'll be keeping up with you on the next cruise Wayne, it sounds like you have a right little gem of a car there mate :-bd

I found this info on the EBC website, it may help you make your mind up which pads to go for.

Ultimax - General replacement pads
Greenstuff - Performance upgrade and far less dust
Redstuff - For cars producing over 200BHP
Yellowstuff - Track and fast road
Bluestuff - Endurance racing

its a petty i cant try them all out first Pete.
euro has just quoted me 131 all round for red stuff

edit......its you lot that take some keeping up with...you all forget...iv seen you go for it :-o
