Hi Lee, does the chap with the Mercedes Pagodas sell them? asking as one of my mates is looking for one so if he does would like to speak to him if possible?Everything seems to be coming together. We always end up waiting for something and this time it’s suspension.

Been a good solo day in the shed today. It reached 32* and boy did I feel it. Progress was good, she’s now down on her own wheels. Clutch was a nightmare but I got there in the end.
End of the day finished like this.
when I first got to the shed first things on my list were the brake lines and clutch. Brake lines went back together fine, the clutch slave I found was leaking, so a quick trip out to get a new one. Then it was onto fitting the braided clutch line only to find they’ve changed the design again causing it to clash with the tunnel, so new slave fitted with the old line.

fitted the new battery and got her started for the first time. She arrived as a non runner, I was told he over heated before leaving the owners house so I’m expecting either an air lock or stuck thermostat.
idling lovely. We have ABS lights on the dash , these should reset after the first test drive. And the air bad light we need to clear because we removed the seat for welding.
after 20mins of warming up she did start to over heat. We know the pump has been replaced in the last few years so judging by the murky fluid the thermostat could well be stuck. Hard to see a slight mist
We optimistically booked an MOT for tomorrow. We’ll give her a quick flush and new thermostat before.

Amazing work, so nice to read
We tore the entire cooling system out, flushed the rad, the heater core and the water jacket - all good. The 3 of us in the 'shed today brainstormed it and we figured out that "someone has been here before" and they hadn't reconnected the hoses the right way round as the hoses leave the heater matrix in to the water jacket.
The solenoid below was essentially reversed, and visually confirmed on "spare" 2.8 Z3 we acquired from somewhere (long story). Basically the coolant couldn't flow through the system.
After reversing the hoses filling up the coolant system and lifting the front of the Z3 as far as our floor jack would allow, it eventually cleared all the air. All sorted, runs to temperature and blows nice hot air from the vents.

Nice news today. She passed her MOT with flying colours, it was also a good chance to see how she drives. Tracking still needs doing but you get a good feel non the less. I found the drivers seat has no rail bushes so we’ll need to do this asap, when I first broke I nearly wet myself with laughter how far I went flying forwards. We also have an ABS light that came on when I was out driving after the MOT, don’t seem to be showing up on any code readers. This week I’ll have to blow the dust off the old German INPA software and see what it says.

With the weather so nice it was a good chance to take the Zed out for a nice long drive and run some errands. We also got the tracking done whilst out. She drives so nice, just how the zeds should, now we can start snagging we have an ABs light to chase also fix the seat bushes. The boot lid is going for spraying next week so she will be very nearly finish by then.
I love the lighting in the tracking centre.
