Can somebody please give any info (I know you have some sites that you can search) about two registration plates?
A Rolls carying DMJ308X and a Bentley with 1700 WD.
These two with UK plates popped for sale localy but seem to be still not imported or registered to Greece.
I wonder if they are de-registered or sorned in UK. (Or maybe still registered which would be really helpfull).
Thank you.

so if somebody wants to bring them back to the UK, has to pay a fine?
or even worse, in order to register them to Greece you have to pay UK taxes, fines de-register and then import and register them here?
Could this be a shady - do not touch- case?

'Cars, motorbikes, vans and other light passenger vehicles that were either built or registered over 40 years ago are exempt from MOTs. This only holds true so long as no substantial changes have been made to the vehicle in question during the past 30 years.'

Thank you for this.
can we check if they are “de-registered” or somehow ”deleted”?
I know I can ask all these the seller, but would like to be prepared.
thank you once again.

Rolls is sorned, which means notified off road. Not being used in the UK.
No export marker, which means not officially moved abroad. Last log book issued ( V5 ) 2009:cool:

Bentley, registered as blue as you mentioned - not sorned, just showing no tax, also no export marker agaianst it. Log book last issued 2004

Thanks!
Looks like there is a lot of paperwork and probably other issues that need to be taken care.
I think I will pass...

TBH the early '80s style of RRs are never going to be classics. Pug ugly and terrible build quality IIRC.
The burgundy Bentley on the other hand....hubba hubba. ;)

never were on my radar. I just inquired because they re dirt cheap.
but now I can figure out why…
too much trouble to get them registered.
and the Bentley is not even the original colour, so no interest.

And they might have finance owing on them. Yes, people take out loans on cars this age!
Hpi.co.uk will reveal this for a fee

IMHO 25ish for the Rolls is very cheap but a real pain to sort out the paperwork and pay import in two countries (one of them not EU any more).
The Bentley is a a very shady one. Reg says some strange things, it doesnt compute, colour, model, year, something very strange with this one. In the past one could just walk to the Reg Office declare Car and Model and get his plates. Not anymore. You now need proof of sale, import papers, road taxes, VAT, and a Club approval or worse a FIVA card for it to be legal. It has to fly through the process else you lose your money if anything is wrong. (Still price is low. Very low. Almost a steal).

Ok. Now you made me want to go on Monday and try to sort this out.
For 40k I can spare a full week and even a trip to UK to sort this out. As long as there are papers to backup whatever story the is behind this, I think it will be an interesting search.
