I've been thinking of building a kit car since I was a kid. It was to be the next project for my own M, but @bertiejaffa had an accident and I had the opportunity to recycle a car that would probably be scrapped. Who'd have thought that an M driver cares about the environment?

Interesting times ahead.

Anyway, here's a quick walk around the car and my initial thoughts...

Ouch! I’ll be interested to watch this thread. Good luck @Pingu with your reincarnation of your Z.

I went for a bit of a trek today (350 miles with about 100 with the top down  ) and looked at some cars being built.

I won't post any pictures as Bernie Ecclestone's buddies from Maranello are making everybody a bit twitchy.

I've decided the kit that I want. Just need to find out if I can get it. I also need to confirm the finances make sense and it will be "good to go".

That sounds like a great choice of kit if you can get it, and as it's going on an m will be a bit quicker then the original

300 miles is some trip. Hope it comes to fruition.
