A stunning vista Shaun.

Tony.
Thanks Tony, although Australia can be considered a bit bland in places, the sheer beauty of completely flat as far as the eye can see is something different..The Northern Territory is where I took this one...[/QUOTE]

10 years apart in manufacture date, the one on the right has been everywhere and abused, and still goes, so its getting a new rubber set..Good on you Nikon for making a robust and versatile point and squirt. The new one should outlive me...I guess what I'm saying here, If you see one going cheap, its a bargain...;). Generally I don't endorse anything, but I feel the need here, for the benefit of others..

My boy from down under made me think and I realised that in all of this insanely vast universe that there is, I am unique and yet so insignificant.
But I even if I am just a small part of this perfection, I suppose I am here for a reason.
Still searching for this reason, there has to be one… because if there is not, my existence is pointless.

I hate this kind of talk - "what's the point in my existence" - Well, hate is a strong word but you know what I mean. There is no "Point" in it. Existence just begets more existence and if you try to believe there is some supreme being giving that existence to you then think also of that fly that lays its eggs on that child's eye so that the larva eat their way inside the eyeball and 'exist' there swimming around inside. What's the point of their existence.

Just exist. Accept it. Enjoy it. Drive a zed or two. And when one day you cease to exist if you gave more than you took then your existence was worthwhile.

And this one , It may seem like nothing, and indeed was just a test of the goto mount. I would never find these without it.
NGC 5746 is the galaxy dead centre, below the star that is in our galaxy. but is actually 95,000,000 light years away, but if you look carefully, it has a few friends in the same frame..In the none forum unshrunk picture I count at least 11 galaxies, but a few are visible here.
M104 (Medium).jpg

This was only 4 images @ 60 seconds, next time out Im going to give it another go, because there are dozens of galaxies in this shot, @Zephyr , kinda makes it worse huh...It does me. You realise of course that there are hundreds if not thousands of civilizations in this picture alone, and they are looking at us as we were 95,000,000 years in the past thinking, Nothing to see there, next..=)).
