I am new to this forum. I have a fantastic Z3 2.8 Orinoco in very good condition 50,000 miles on the clock. The only problem is I’m losing my garage that I use as my neighbour is selling their house. so I need to think what can I do? What sort of price should I put it up for, two years ago I had an agreed value from the insurers for 11,000 what would be a fair price if i put it on the market, would love your comments. I would love to keep the car but I have no choice. Thanks to everybody.

Have you tried a storage unit that's temperature controlled? About £160 a month or so.

Sadly you'll not get anywhere near the agreed valuation price as there's just too many left on the road. Probs about £5k if in top nik (obviously you can ask for more).

2.8 Orinoco has some rarity value, as most were 1.9s. Good mileage but as always the value comes down to condition and maintenance. £5-£6k would not be unrealistic if tip top. Worth posting some pics

Lovely car the Orinoco widebody but as already mentioned condition is everything with the Z3’s.

Be worth getting an advert up on the forum so you get the benefit of members feedback on the detail and photos.

As a starter for 10 include the cars location and registration and as much detail regarding the service and maintenance history.

With it being the Orinoco it will have heated upgraded leather seats, style 42 wheels and AC but also worth including the full vin # specification along with plenty of photos particularly of the areas which usually show the most signs of wear like the roof fabric, rear screen surround, drivers seat bolster, sill covers, rear arche's, front wings, front arch liners ...etc

Hi Philip and :welcome: to the forum from me too in Stafford. Good luck with your sale but as others have said it all comes down to condition and maintenance.
I don't think you'd get anyone on this forum to pay 11k, even if it a rare model.

It does look good..but have fluids been changed regularly irrespective of use ? What about rubber bushes, shocks etc which deteriorate with age. The lack of use is not actually very good for it. I won’t comment on the price as like anything it’s worth what someone will pay. Good luck with your sale 👍
