I think eliminating rather than extracting would be more appropriate.
No mate, think taking rather than extracting. If this doesn't work I'll pm you. To save us detention and lines. You know what they are?

Sandy, I think I am going to have to explain this to Jim by PM as English English and Canadian English are as different as English English and US English.

I couldn't stop laughing when I saw this candy wrapper:

I couldn't possibly imagine the uproar using a wrapper like this would cause here if someone tried to use it. There would be riots in the streets.
And another thing.................After looking at all your candy treats over there and the nostalgic replies of everyone, I CAN'T POSSIBLY BE THE ONLY DIABETIC on this forum. You guys did everything but slobber on the pages. OMG. Frankie

We used to get Rockall's ice cream van round on Wednesday evenings in the summer. The came right out from Hibaldstow near Brigg out to Marton, 5 miles south of Gainsborough. That's a long way!. Also a fish and chip bus.

Tony.

ps. There was also a shop in Gainsborough where as a schoolboy cycling back to school after dinner you could get 1 No6 and 2 matches, but don't tell. SSHHHH!
Me and my chum used to smoke cigarettes called Dominoes. They came in an open topped pack of four. Sometimes if we were flush we bought five Players Weights! We used to creep into the yard by the side one of the pubs in Sutton, Surrey and nick empty soda siphons and bottles. The next day we would take them back to to the pub and get money back on them to buy the fags. Four of us used to go to the cinema, we bought one ticket and the guy that got in legit used to slip to the gents which was close to an exit door, then slip down, open the locked emergency exit door for the rest of us to creep in and one by one slip into and out of the gents to watch the film. Also we used to get up on the cinema roof and drop water bombs on passers by below. Heating up 2 shilling pieces with a cigarette lighter and putting it on the pavement when we saw a copper walking our way around the corner was also great fun. Oh, the innocence of youth!

Anyone remember the pink soft candy prawns? You could get 4 for one old penny!

Now there's another thing. Back in the good old 80's in the days of AM CB radio. My handle was Blackjack, anyone else who used to use the old Chicken Box?

Tony.[/QUOTE
Yeah I had a CB radio ........ ;)
My handle was Chas - Nick =))
Chas was the person in Madness :)
And Nick was Nick Haywood :)
How embarrassing :p
But never mind that was my childhood :)
We had great fun on that device :)
