As from a legal pint, I don't know but they will definitely fit the front, I am going to use them on my new project

You can buy pressed metal plates that are fully legal complying.
Incorporating reflective background, correct letter size and font / spacing and with bs145d and makers name .

Edit .
I would say all the ones I have seen like this have been online and to get the proper ones you will have to send the appropriate documentation.

These guys were very helpful when I was looking for custom sized metal plates - most places do standard width but I wanted a shorter plate as the reg is short (still full legal)

I’ll probably still get one as I want to magnetically attach the front plate one day

I run them on all my cars.

Perfectly legal.

I've never ever had a problem .

I get mine from ebay. £20 for front and back

In all honesty, most Coppers would not know what was a legal plate and what was not. Same with Tester's;). As long as it is fixed properly and kept clean you will have no issues.

Tippers made the plates for my Volvo 1800S - nice job and good experience all round:

They look very nice and fit for the period.
The most confusion around number plates is centred on reflective type plates which can be altered to confuse speed cameras and Vehicle recognition cameras which is where a huge amount of revenue is accrued. It's not about whether they look right or can be read by the human eye at all.

Tony.
