Welcome @Lytesben !
Good choice for the Zed, you'll never regret it! Shame that you have to let Giles go; if I'll be you and have garage for both , I'll keep it...they make a nice couple.

Thanks guys. Giles might be staying yet, all depends on what interest I get in him. More than happy to hang onto him a bit longer but it will mean a delay in getting the Zed.

Hello from Mansfield. Now then, keep Giles cos he'll be worth a bloody fortune one day, buy a zed cos that'll be worth cock all ever cos there's so many left but you'll have great fun owning one and getting out on some meets throughtout the summer months. Got to be the best of both worlds hasn't it?? ;)

I was looking out for a facelift version but yours does sound like it might be good one, any more details, price etc?

There is that thought as the value are only increasing as their numbers dwindle. Been out driving him today and I have to say he is a right blast to drive so he might stay. Saying that if someone turns up with a wad of cash it would also be hard to say no lol.

Definitely want something I can throw the roof back on for the summer though!

What about @Ontiken1 2.8 facelift. 37500 miles! Hardly any difference in running costs than a 1.9.

Welcome to the forum. Try driving both 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder models before you decide. The smaller engine has an appeal, I understand, due to lower front end weight and better fuel economy (40mpg-ish). The sound of the six, more horses and the torque attracts many others including me to the version with a couple of extra pots and you will still get 30mpg-ish (not taht it really matters).
Enjoy finding your Z but remember summer is coming and prices will get higher and drop back around October.

I'd have to recommend the six cylinder models.

Simply because of how nice it looks when you open the bonnet.

Hello everyone,

I have been recently considering buying myself a Z3 for a fun weekend car to replace my (currently for sale) classic Rover Mini called 'Giles'.

Going to have a look around for some buying advice but in the meantime here's a picture of Giles :)

Welcome to the forum. Frankie
