Welcome from me in Northern Germany. I've had my 2001 1.9 since 2019. I bought it over to Germany from the UK late 2019 before starting work on it in the spring of 2020. Mostly stripped, cleaned, inspected, overhauled then put back together. I had it TUV'd in Mar 24 so nearly 4 years of work. This forum is excellent for insider knowledge, it's highly unlikely any problem you encounter has not been covered before. Good luck with the rest of the restoration.
