The EZ Lift can only be put in from the side, you can buy the wheels so if your drive allows you can place it under the car outside then push it in the garage.
watched the video on that one the other day Andy, the addition of the trolley wheels makes that a good bit of kit and as you say you can then wheel it and the car into a garage.

I have them but haven't put them on yet as the configuration of my garage allows me to slide it under the car with it in.

I bought a scissor jack from CJAutos in the end and today assembled it. Must admit not impressed at all. On the largest width it does not fit the Z4 and only seems to be able to locate on the floor pan, paint is microscopic thin, screws have rusted already. It will not fit under the Z3 without jacking the car up first putting the wheels on blocks of wood then sliding it under and again doesn't locate on the sills?

What did it cost please? I’m considering one from Mansfield, mainly because it looks good but also it’s close enough to collect saving a lot of money.

Tony.

Hi Tony
I paid £425 plus VAT and I think it was £60 P&P
On the widest setting (You have to change all the bars) it will only locate on the floor pan. I have not tried this and stuck to the jack in the end so think I have wasted £570 on something I'll never use by the looks of it. I don't know if other makes are wider but CJ Autos do state on the widest setting it is suitable for most modern cars? Not sure which ones.

Thank you for the info, I appreciate it. If I go this route I think I’ll get one of these,

As I said it’s local to me (about 30 miles) and would go in our son’s van. That saves quite a bit on delivery costs. A steak dinner versus well over £100. Also it portable so on a fine day could use it on hard standing next to the garage. I would expect it to hold a decent value too.

Tony.

Thats the one I bought Tony, very pleased with it, had to lay scaffold planks either side two planks thick to give sufficient clearance to drive the Z3 and Z4 over it. Comes packed on a custom built pallet which makes unloading it a bit tricky, mine came on a flatbed curtain sided lorry which would have needed a fork lift to get it off. Driver had to take it back and put it on a tail lift equipped lorry and then use a jacking trolly to move it into my garage where I could unpack it and position it where I wanted it. Had to up the garage electric circuit to 32amp breaker other wise the pump will trip out on anything lower than 32amp. Rather than go through ebay go direct to BH REpairs the supplier you may get a better price, I went direct. http://www.bhrepairs.co.uk/gallery.php
