Has anyone used one of these? Ive got work to do to both zeds and would save my weary joints trying to crawl around underneath them!
Space is not an issue as its a double garage and I can move one of the cars out. Saying that didn't realise quite how wide the Z3 is until I just put it in the garage!I considered one of these tilting lifts but not got the garage width to slide it in from the side and you can't drive over it.
Ended up getting one of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CAR-LIFT...286507?hash=item4db0d5d8eb:g:AOsAAOSwzTFb~VFd
If you go direct to their website you might get a better price.
Comes with a selection of different height lifting pads and is well made, needed to put some scaffolding planks on each side to clear the underside of the Z when driving over it and ensure you have a 32Amp socket in your garage to plug it into so it dosn't trip your circuit breakers. A lot more expensive than the tilting one but solved my space issues.BH Repairs Garage Equipment, Sales, Repairs, Service

Bought this in May and used it once. It's no longer required as I have purchased a different type of ramp. Great bit of kit, on full height the car will tilt to the point you can sit underneath the rear or front to work, also locks level if required. Normal raise / lower is manual with the...zroadster.org

The EZ Lift can only be put in from the side, you can buy the wheels so if your drive allows you can place it under the car outside then push it in the garage.can you drive over any of theses i only have a single garrage and cant get one in from the side

Yes scaffold boards either side provide clearance over the lift, mine needed two scaffold boards thick to get enough clearance for the Z to roll over it. Picked up some used boards at a local timber recycling centre. Top are full length boards joined with metal jointing plates and underneath a series of short lengths along the length to achieve the required height. Not too sure mine would be suitable for a gearbox removal with the rams being in the centre but may well be ok using the various height lifting pads it came with. I use the lift pads at the jackingpoints on both the Z3 and the Z4. Gearbox removal with a Quick Jack looks unhindered with anything in between the units. The scaffold board height ramps would certainly work with the tilting lift with it left in place on the garage floor if space is limited to slide it in and out.See Colb’s reply (post #5 above)
