Great photos Ian @Redline and Sean @Sean d and I'm happy to say I voted for both of you. First time in my life I've had a double come in =))

Do we have a resident bookie I wonder ?

Yeah, me, but you won't see any pay outs...;)

So... we'd need a resident lawyer to argue the technicalities too =))

Lawyers and bookies ?? what's the difference ? =))

You could possibly win some of your money back with a bookie you got no chance of that happening a lawyer

It would be interesting to see the original without the HDR effect, I need photoshop :)
It's 7 much duller images. It's the HDR processing that takes the relevant tones from each image and creates a more natural image. Lots of people take HDR way too far.
I did a few tweaks in PS but the HDR was HDR Pro which is part of the Google Nik effects package. I took these images hand held but it's much easier to use a tripod to stop any movement between images. The software aligns them but you lose some of the edges.

The first time I heard about HDR is when you mentioned it, I recon you cheated as you entered 7 pics :p

I only pressed the shutter button once ;)

My phone has an HDR setting the previous Samsung used to save 2 images the normal and HDR one but now its just switchable..

Not quite sure how phone HDRs work. Suspect they're based on a single image and some software wizardry.

It says it takes multiples in its instructions but then who knows i know it burst shots rapidly if your not careful with shutter and you can wind up with ridiculous amounts of the same pic if your not careful

Technology goes berserk sometimes.

Telling me i just checked it and HDR on the phone is wizardry it says its to do with the lighting sensor being extremely rapid so it does all the HDR stuff on the fly and the image i see is the accumilation of all its adjustments.
Fluffs it =))
Does alright though.....
