I can't believe Gary will drive a clean car for at least 30 miles!

Your work is genuinely amazing, I do wonder what sealant is added to protect the paint after? surely the lacquer is all gone?

My old coupe started suffering from lacquer peal and no one wanted to repair it, as you seem to be doing to Gaz's, if you would PM me an idea of what that would cost a customer I'd be very interested.

Thanks.

Andy

The Lacquer isn't gone after this just a small layer taken off.

Sorry Andy I meant to reply to your lacquer problem earlier but got waylaid by something else.

The problem you have as I understand it is lacquer peeling away from the basecoat which is a common problem with cars left in the open weather. The only real option to full satisfaction would be repaint the panel/panels that are affected.

I had a Mercedes SL in Red in once when I was doing this as a business with the same problem you have and although I managed to make it better it was never going to be a full satisfaction job.
I wet flatted until I had lost the edge and then redone the clear and when dry wet flatted to blend.
It looked great from a couple of feet away but get close and you could see it.
Customer was happy but I was far from being so.

As Chris at Summit Detailing will tell you we like perfection or as near as the paint will allow.
The work on Gaz's Z4 is a more a less total wet flat and has already taken 40 hours with another 30+ to go.:arghh:
Their are some serious deep stuff on Gaz's car.

I don't Paint anymore as I don't have the facilities and certainly cannot do it where I am but if you would like me to come and take a look for advice on what to do with it then I will be more than happy to do that for you.

Cheers

Russ

So when will you have Gaz's Zed finished Russell

Indeed, you can only work with the car in front of you & every car can be improved, whether that is brand new or 50yrs old!

cheers

Wednesday night at whatever time I can stand back and say.

Yep that will do it,

Not all the Scratches will be out as some are very deep and the paint gauge is telling me I have to stop their but I would say it's going to be 90% correction..

I hear though the grapevine your's is very nice...........

@Russell O looks like a fat bird in a one piece
