JINGLES White Z4 progress thread (PIC HEAVY)

when i got my car it already had the //M front bumper on but had the standard undertray so there was a gap between the undertray and bumper, then it came loose and was dragging along the road as i was driving 1 day so i removed the standard undertray completely, i will be fitting a new //M undertray when i get around to it tho
 
sorry for the slow progress guys, now xmas is out the way the modding will carry on!

ive added some HIDs but will do a write up when i do a few more bits...

currently got a stud conversion kit to go on, new front 330 big brake conversion with 325mm discs, and in the process of ordering new suspension (springs/shocks and possibly bushes) and new wheels so over next few weeks this should start up and get added to nicely :D
 
Can't wait for the next set of pictures to see the results. You, Mint and SeanD are really putting the rest of us to shame.

Great write up .. the new side seal moldings will look great, and a lovely looking Z with the red interior :thumbsup:
 
Also forgot to mention .. one of the best quad exhaust conversions I have seen, well done
 
did this a few weeks ago but not had time to write it up...

passengers side headlight kept letting water in, removed headlight to investigate and found a couple of brackets had snapped off, ordered a repair kit and set about repairing the large hole..

broken lug and hole:



plastic cut to size:



all sealed up water tight and fixing lugs replaced:
 
had enough of the poor light output from the standard Halogen lights so decided to upgrade to some 55w HIDs in 6000K

removed light and gave them a good clean and dry out:


reflector lamp removed to allow better cleaning etc:


stripped down for a good clean:


mounted the ballast on the inside, in this area:


rough location of all wires etc when fitted and replaced:


finished light output:
Top = standard lights/bulbs
Middle = standard lights/upgraded Osram night breaker bulbs
Bottom = 55w HID kit with 6000K
 
about time i got around to fitting the springs...

1st up the rears as they are easiest!

Love the thread - I will admit I am not usually the biggest fan of the original shape Z4 but this one is really changing my mind !! The white bodywork really makes the car look stunning and the changes you have made have brought it even more to life.
 
charcoal filter disconnected and then unbolted and removed:



pipes bunged up and jubilee clipped to stop anything getting into the fuel tank:
 
after removing charcoal filter i can remove the spacers and replace the worn wheel arch liner from rubbing

25mm spacers removed:

thanks for the nice comments, i really enjoy reading other peoples progress threads so i try and include as many photos as i can for others to hopefully enjoy :D
 
after a misfire on cylinder 4, swapped coil pack to cylinder 3 and error code moved with it so isolated the problem, quick trip to eurocarparts (in a different car) £20 later and i can replace the coilpack
