That's why he's put the HT on Dave, so he can stand on it.=))=))

Tony.

Luckily the car door opened where the side door to the garage was. All worked to plan..... more like luck =))

Just happy it’s now out of the weather ready for winter.

The wheels are now straight so I can just push the car forward and back if I need stuff.

Armrest is great. Just looking for another one in good condition now to fit in try Silver Z3

Yep. From an E46

Hadn’t seen this thread before. Brilliant read, and some great work Jim.
Trouble is ....its given me ideas :arghh:

I know the feeling. Reading other people’s lead me to start making lists :arghh:

Couple of bits planned for this year:

Silver Z3
  • Sort out peeling extended leather
  • Finish sub box
  • Fit roof lining
  • Fit armrest

Blue Z3
  • Fit roof lining
  • Royal steering wheel
  • Look into Storm Motorwerks Gear Knob & handbrake handle
  • Refurb / Powder coat wheels and new replace centre caps
  • Fit new springs and shocks (@t-tony ;))
  • Injectors - clean and refurb
  • Replace / upgrade rear bushes

The armrest mod is a good idea.....are they difficult to fit???

Nice and easy. Got a black leather armrest from and E46. Then shaped the support bracket that the armrest is on to fit across the cubby hole on the centre console and the section behind the hand brake gaiter.

Next time I do it I’ll try and take more photos.

I used a metal bracket on the underside of the centre console to give the joint strength when screwing up through the console and into the armrest base.
