We drove up the coast past Cecina to Pisa and found it was really busy up the coast road and each town seemed full of people on holiday.it was much more relaxed in the country.we stayed at this hotel a few years ago,it an hour from Pisa and about 45 mins from the coast.http://www.booking.com/hotel/it/borgo-pignano.en-gb.html?aid=311076;label=borgo-pignano-vPq2c5YCRU8OrEcEAAQjRAS28961756220l:ta12:ac:ap1t1:neg;sid=3936b4acd3658d973bbe198ec164d838;dcid=1;dist=0;srfid=09e8d6d1ee5a8e339ea9065af0fa4e20c775e303X1;type=total;ucfs=1& Not really a seaside person I'm afraid I can't recommend anywere special.but Just come back from Volterra and it doesn't disappoint the church on top of the hill is quite spectacular the Roman theatre is great and so many little streets plenty of nice places to eat,the Roman Theatre is great it and some of the amazing stuf they built inspired us to get our 6 ton sewrage plant over our little bridge on rollers as it was to heavy to lift lolView attachment 18490

We changed mother's Rayburn cooking fanged in her kitchen by using 3 lengths of scaffold tube to the same effect.
