If you like a scenic simple holiday that's a little diffrent I can recommend some lovely places,we went to a little place called fosse bianco,in San filippo for a swim in the river just as the hot water comes out of the earth we were almost the only ones thereLooks great mate. Italy is on the bucket list of places to spend some time. Can't remember the name (C-in-C is in charge) we're going to spend the week in an upmarket tree house for the C-in-C's 50th in 4 years time then a few other yet to be identified places so any top tips are most welcome. No raving or places full of kids as I'll be 53 and nearly grown up, apparentlyIf you like a scenic simple holiday that's a little diffrent I can recommend some lovely places,we went to a little place called fosse bianco,in San filippo for a swim in the river just as the hot water comes out of the earth we were almost the only ones thereView attachment 18338
She'd have been happy where we are then Tony. Every other field we pass is full of them. One of the big crops in this region.Great pictures Hugh, thank you for sharing. By the way sunflowers were our Carla's favourite.
Tony.
Thanks for sharing Hugh. Looks wonderful. We are all about piece and tranquility, culture and everything that isn't the normal rat race back home. We've never been to Italy although it's one we intend on doing. My brother and his family have visited several times and they love it. Says it's his favourite Country.View attachment 18336 Just come back from Italy, for me if there was one country that could rival Wales this would be mine.We have been here about 12 times to diffrent regions and have never been disappointed, the language is easy to pick up and the people are lovely. We fly to Pisa and get a car and drive to our favourite place you can do it in 2 hours but it always takes us longer as we take the scenic route lol.Its a little village Bagno Vingoni with only 30 residents but it has natural hot springs that bring more visitors durin the day,2 days there and a little drive to Cortona just an hour away 4 if you take the scenic route ,lovely walled town on the side o the mountain .its an adventure getting the bags to the hotel as the streets aren't made for cars wider than a fiat 500.then of to Siena for a night ,lots of character but loads of tourists like us then of to a town we went to a wedding to a few years ago Volterra I really enjoy exploring so I fill my boots it's great. Then a drive over to the coast and back up to Pisa ,over to soonView attachment 18325View attachment 18326View attachment 18327View attachment 18328View attachment 18329View attachment 18330View attachment 18331View attachment 18332View attachment 18334View attachment 18335
