Typical of Tony, when I spoke to him recently and he explained the situation at the time he didn't want me to tell anybody so I respected his confidence. He didn't want a fuss, but I thought it was a matter of another operation, I wasn't expecting this. So sad, as others have said, he was always on hand to give help and advice. Obviously very ill, he still had to make light of things and regarding his 17 year old replacement heart valve said, 'Can't get owt to last these days'. We'll all miss his humour and friendly banter. Sincere condolences to Shirl and all the family. Ken & Sharon.
