I am so sorry to have to announce that Tony (t-tony) passed away yesterday morning at Nottingham hospital after a short illness. Tony was known by most here as head of Zedshed Midlands. He devoted much of his time to the Zorg community and helping endlessly with his mechanical knowledge both on the forum and at Zedshed Midlands at Torksey. I for one am devastated by the news as I am sure many of you here will be aswell. I'm sure we all wish Shirl, Abi, Gary and the Grand kids our deepest condolences but please give them the time to come to terms with what's happened.
It's a very sad day for all of us here on Zorg. 😢.
Thanks guys.

A message from Shirl which she has asked me to pass on.

I never got to meet Tony, despite my intention of one day doing so. It is with heartfelt sorrow to hear this news and my condolences go out to his wife and family and all the people that knew him and that he helped. He will be missed. Shawn

Genuinely shocked and gutted by the news. I've known Tony as long as he's been on here and he's been a font of knowledge and someone who has genuinely wanted to help others. Shared a bacon roll or two on his driveway on shed days!

My condolences to Shirley and the family.

Sad sad news indeed - total shock, can't actually believe it. One of the absolute gentleman of this world, generous with his time, knowledge and facilities. He will be sadly missed . . .

Please pass on condolences to Shirl and the family . . .

Spoke to Tony just a few weeks ago and he told me he was in hospital in Lincoln. Same sense of humour, he said the valve he had fitted 17 years ago was packing up and added, ' Can't get owt to last these days'! I'm shocked and devastated at his passing, he was always helpful with his time and knowledge. Lost one of the good guys. :(

Struggling to come to terms with this - what a shock. I had met Tony a few times as he was quite local to me at Lincoln and I will always remember his friendliness and his wanting to offer help and advice which was always sought. His contributions here were always of value and its a very sad day and we are worse off for his passing. Sincere condolences to Shirl and the family.

Very saddened to hear this news. Tony supported me massively over the years, and I learned so much from him. He was always willing to offer help and guidance to anyone who needed it — a genuinely great person who will be truly missed. My thoughts are with his family. Rest in peace.

This is very, very sad news indeed. I have known Tony almost as long as I've had my Zed, 14 years, and have spent many a happy hour over at the Midlands ZedShed. Tony was a such great friend, always ready to share his knowledge, tools and time to help others.
He was a great attribute to the forum and I, like a lot of others on here, will certainly miss him.
Sincere condolences to Shirl, Abi, Gary and the Grandchildren, RIP Tony.

Didn’t know Tony only from this forum but he was always the first to offer up his help/ advice .
Wished I’d lived a little closer as his was a shed I would have enjoyed visiting.
