Just be aware the big issue with the mainstream like Admiral is no agreed values and guaranteed salvage option.

I’ve had to deal with them sub 5k Cars and they pretty low with ‘book’ values on those so will be fun when you ding a bonnet on a Z. Write off and payout in peanuts..

I got a great deal from Manning - Fully Comp, agreed value, track day cover all for £245. Mind come renewal time I'll still be shopping around as usual!!

Admiral will do agreed value - https://www.admiral.com/classic-car-insurance/

When I was checking it out, they wanted the car to be at least 20 years old, be garaged, with a low annual mileage, not be your main car, be professionally valued and have all modifications listed and agreed. Each modification costs extra.

Admiral are setup to cater for 90% of the public. Most of us fall into the 10% of the public who drive old cars that may be non-standard (non-OEM wheels, etc.).

I use Admiral multicar to insure three cars (Smart, E46 330 and my Mum's Suzuki Wagon R) - £500 for the lot. I use someone else for my Escort van and someone else for my modified M Roadster.

Didn’t know that, I have the ‘regular’ Cars with them.
Their agreed value is too fussy for my Z though- Amlins have agreed value and can include commuting, no garage, under 20yrs, all mods bar supercharger etc.
When dealing with them I was dealing was a person not a call Centre which was very refreshing.
