Well the wife quite often calls me a wally so I thought I'd come clean on the fiasco yesterday.
After successfull DIY upgrade to my stereo system I played music untill the wife came home from the shops on Thurs waiting to try my Bluetooth, after about 8-9 calls to her on house phone could not answer her so finally gave up Thurs afternoon. Read up on BT system and decided it was muted for respond, Friday saw me trying again this time making sure it wasn't muted, again after about a dozen tries still couldn't answer her, by this time she was ready to pull her hair out so I decided it must be the head unit, unmounted it and packed it in its box with all the extras ready to send back. Went home and asked the wife for some tape to package it up and she said you'll need the face off box which you left on the window sill for a week after I asked you to move it, which you'll find in the top draw of your file cabinet it's got something in it you obviously think you don't need, well my bottom lip fell to the floor when I opened it to find the mic and lead.
I looked at her and said perhaps I'll have another go at getting it to work just to make sure. She said, well don't phone me cos I've barred you on my mobile and muted the house phone. Arrrrrrrrrrr the Zs dropped me in it again.=))=))=))

Ps,this was my very first attempt at ICE install and although the wife hid some items from me I honestly believe I did quite well.:tumbleweed:

should have kept it shut. reminds me of an incident about 15 years ago, i was playing with - err no, i was testing some of the lads lego, i built a lego diff. i put it down and went to bed, then up early and off to work. when i got home that evening sally says to me (all exited) hey look what our ben has made with his lego, isn't he clever for a 6 year old, i didnt have the hart to put her right.

sometimes silence is the best response.

or even worse, the time i cut a new carpet for our downstairs toilet by laying the old one on top thinking hey im smart, only problem was i had put the old carpet (template) upside down so after i had cut it - it didn't fit (toilet hole in the wrong place)

should have taken my own advise here and kept it to myself.

Ever taken a door off to trim it (by a good amount) and gone to put it back on and the bottom doesn't seem to have had anything cut off (but the top has)? Me neither =))

On the bottom or the inside.
Our bathroom has curved asymmetric handles on the cupboard doors - The installer completely cocked that up. He got one at 45 degrees to what it should have been - Doh.
