Are you going electric mate, I'm going with the block and tackle set up, just need to take a look in my garage to see if I have the height

Yeah think so there are loads of winches second hand may give alittle more control.
Going to get some 22mm ally bar and add eye bolts. Work out what length strappings i need and experiment :thumbsup:

Gumtree bargain @£40 not had much use at all so should do the job fine :thumbsup:

Just gotta make sure what you attach it to, and what you attach it with can take 45kg+winch :whistle:

The garage roof has 9inch beams and storage above is all good add me up there at 90kg and its good:D
40mm box section steel to mount the winch it will be fine :thumbsup:

Reviving an old thread. This has inspired me to build and parts ordered! Can I ask how you've securely connected the pulley to the joist? More detailed photos of the setup would be amazing (and help!).
