Yep completely agree with you on the dealers. They were a shambles to be honest mate. The reg plate, poor valet if any, I think it has just been washed and vacced to be honest, fell out with the business manager, he was a right tosser, but the car I'm really pleased with and it's always nice to get an opinion from someone in the job.The last number of years I've been very impressed with the Ford models.
Shame the dealer didn't fix that number plate before you collected it, let them selves down big time there. It always makes me wonder what else have they overlooked.
On a few occasions now I've taken a car for an MOT that I've just bought, then made the dealer put right anything wrong that I thought they should have spotted and dealt with.
But back to the topic here, I doubt there'd be anything wrong with a 12,000 miles Focus.
Enjoy, they're lovely cars.
When I picked up my Audi A4 a few years ago there was broken glass on the carpet. The windscreen had to be replaced but they hadn't cleared up afterwards - Having two young boys at the time I went absolutely ballistic at the dealer. Having said that I always got the best treatment from them after that. The last car we bought from a dealer I told them not to wash or vac as I would do it, he wasn't happy but I insisted and told him why.
You should contact Ford UK for an explanation as to why one of their dealers treated you with such disrespect and handed a car over that was below expectations.
They told me I would receive a phone call in a couple of weeks time for a customer survey so they will get it then. He said please give us 10/10 because anything less is a fail! You've failed!!!!The last car we bought from a dealer I told them not to wash or vac as I would do it, he wasn't happy but I insisted and told him why.

I know the industry well Ian and sub standard doesn't cut it as all main agents are now monitored and feedback goes to the manufacturer. Staff get paid on good reports and penalised on bad ones. So why be shoddy????When I picked up my Audi A4 a few years ago there was broken glass on the carpet. If anyone tells me what they want in a survey it's an automatic fail - "I'll give my opinion thank you. Keep yours about yourself to yourself.
