Well I took a punt with the old 75 but it's not working out so well. Basically it's falling to bits! It's already failed to start twice for no reason then suddenly decides it wants to work again. I need reliability as I start so early in the morning so gone for something much newer and hopefully more reliable. I wanted something very cheap to run but I can't be doing with the likes of a Toyota Aygo or similar.
I was going to get a fiesta then spotted this, with the same overall running costs as it's smaller sister it was deal done. It's a focus zetec ecoboost 1.0 turbo. It has the same bhp as the 1.6 but much more economical the run with £20 a year rfl and an average of 60 mpg. It has the additional "appearance pack" on it which gives the nicer larger wheels, bigger boot spoiler and blackout rear glass. Jues freelander is proving a cracking car so far so hopefully this will be the end of our motoring woes.

Nice one mate. I drive a lot of differant hire cars going to the airport and back. First place goes to the Focus very closely followed by the Fiesta. 1 trillion places behind last place comes the Corsa. Awful car! Happy motoring mate :)

One of the companies i used to work for used the Focus Estates and they were a cracking car. My son had one for 5 years and only had to for pay normal wear and tear parts. Very reliable just like the older Fords

I'm in the same boat as you at the moment, considering something like the bmw 118d as a cheap and reliable daily driver. When you start early and finish late you just can't deal with an unreliable motor. The corsa will be gone soon to make way for another car.

Good choice!

Thanks mate. Hopefully be a good one. At 12000 miles you'd like to think so.
