I told you in the beginning that U-turns and T-junctions are the most dangerous when driving in the UK
...I've done the same thing once...luckily there was no oncoming traffic at that time.
I have done the same in a LHD car. I was driving down a hill on a B road that had a long left hand bend at the bottom with a right hand turn but it looked like you were going straight on. With out indicating right and stopping, I shot straight across passing the small island to the left of me and I was on the right hand side of the road. This scared the hell out of my English passengers but I was lucky as there was no other traffic around. But that was the reason it happened, it is always easier to go with the flow, as they say. (Plus there were no markings on the road or road signs)
