Sorry oldcarman! M44s aren't exactly the fastest cars. And the pizzas are cold now but I'm still on my way.

Cooper you're a terrible person haha! Having one fantastic panel on my car while the rest look balls is uncool xD yet its incredibly tempting!

Looks like it's pretty easy to save a badly clouded window and would be of a benefit to use on a new window! Have you tried this @Cooper ?? JIM

No. But if someone was committed to buying a new one I would put the das6 polisher on it and see what happens. :)

I like the product is water soluble, no harsh chemicals involved! Not sure about using the DA with the seats and hoops in, might be pretty tight and you'd want to keep the speed down to avoid burning. JIM

Yes. Seems pretty good. BTW the da polishers are excellent as you can't burn with them. They will stop if too much pressure is used and they orbit as well as spin! Like you said doing the inside will be a nightmare. I am please that the window doesn't seem to perish within or all through the material So it can be polished out. Using a drill or just Rotary Polishers introduced risk and much more skill is required. That is why I bought a da!

I've been using DA for about 40+years and find the air driven to be the easier to use. Let's see pics of the before and after please, JIM

If I do anything of consequence I will be sure to take before and after :). I don't have air, that would be nice! Really, I can't warrant spending the money on an air set-up but envy those that have it. Have a great day Jim.

@hard top Heya! Sorry, for some reason I'm terrible with maintaining presence on internet forums these days. In my youth I absolutely depended on them, but now? Hardly manage to remember to check ever. And speaking of... @Cooper that looks incredible! I saw you posted this a while ago but didn't get around to replying until now (as if to prove my afore mentioned point) but I definitely need this product in my life. My window by this point is actually quite dangerous, its so foggy. I'll look in to it! Oh, I almost bought that M3 too. Glad I didn't though in the end, it would have been years of tight repayments. Best to just focus on the gem I already have and actually apply the fixes I have sitting in the boot waiting to be finished.

Hi @FluxMorz good to hear from you again! Hope you get to those fixes before they get too far along. And yes, the choice between an M3 or to fix what you have at the risk of defaulting on repayment was a wise one you made. Nothing wrong with a 1.9 M44,, I don't think I'd change mine but may consider an upgrade if the opportunity presented itself. After all my granddaughter will get the 1.9 when she graduates and she's already told me sharing ain't happening!! So there it is. JIM

So much stuff on here I didn't know I needed
Think I'll speak to my nephew - he's done several of his cars and is now at a loose end having been made redundant recently.

Cars sure are a money and time sink haha. There's always a million products and fixes you hadn't considered.

@oldcarman I had the papers signed and submitted and I was so close to getting that M3. I could technically afford the car but after all that they cropped up asking for a down payment that had not previously mentioned. Early lessons in dealing with car dealers there.

At the time I hadn't got confirmation of sale on my 528i which would cover the cost. I have that confirmation now but in the mean time my father wisely convinced me to walk away.

So I guess I'll be smart and just focus on all the little jobs for the Zed. Nothing mechanical thankfully, just install new seat bushes, finish speaker install, fix problem where audio only comes from passenger side (requires a new connecting thing behind radio/cassette I think?) And while I'm in there get the lights behind the air con knobs connected again. I can now also add the technique in the video to that list too.

Oh and continue wondering what's causing the rear tyre wear god damn it.

There's other little things and cosmetic changes I'd like to make too but for now this is the list. Lol.

And yes if you can fool someone who has time to work on your car that's far and away the better choice haha. I have a friend who does things for me here and there.

A very nice finish indeed. I would have a go myself, but in this household it is classed as housework and left to the wife. Seriously, it must have added value to the Z.

I really want to get in on the whole detailing thing at some stage too, but about 35% of the time I'm parking in a gravel pan anyway (always enjoy exiting in style though :p)
