What is the fastest car you have driven?

Mine is a Skyline RS34 800hp, yes 800hp, the car belongs to my daughters partner, he still has the car but at the moment it is off the road, the engine was sent to Japan to fettle it, it came back with twin ceramic turbos and they are huge, you will not believe how fast this car is, not enjoyable to drive as it is just too much power, and it has a full racing clutch fitted which took some getting used to (Stalled it twice). Will burn out all four tyres in third. He has said he is going to put it back on the road, so maybe one of these days I will turn up with it on a meet..

My ex brother-in-laws Lotus Turbo Esprit SE which had been chipped. Very fast and stable car going exactly where you pointed it.

I've never driven a "really fast" car but have piloted my old ZZR1100 at warp speed.
I think my Zed is the fastest car I have driven if I'm honest.

My brother has a Merc AMG63 or is it 63AMG? and although I haven't driven it, I've clung onto the door handle a few times.

.... and I've known a few fast women in my time

I don't think it was quick but it went fast, fastest I have ever been in a car. A 1978 Lincoln Continental Town Car, light blue in color throughout. My step mother put the pedal to the metal and we watched the needle go past the 120 MPh mark on the open highway. It wasn't very pleasant as the car felt like it was floating.

I topped my Astra 2.0 Sport company car out at 145 on a *coughs* private road a very long time ago... My 120d Auto company car would get to 143 on private roads too...

Gave up driving on private roads once I stopped driving for a living. Like a more sedate pace these days...

I took the M up too 162mph indicated on the nav. Been a little quicker on a bike. Driven a couple of new Nissan GT-Rs and a Ferrari Scuderia but not in anger.

On a more daily use this 335D I'm driving is pushing 400bhp with 500 pounds of torque gary will confirm this :p

It's a freaking diesel drinking animal... Feels as quick as sitting in the passenger seat of an ///M but without the roar of the engines or any drama what so ever. Loved it and want one now...

I didnt have the nerve to look at the speedo when driving the Skyline, But when we got out Mark my daughters partner was shaking like a s***ing dog and as white as a sheet, He vowed never to try and frighten anyone in it again as he now knew how it felt=))

Nearly 20 years ago i had a Renault 19 16V, and i worked in London and my home town was Bournemouth. So i would occasionally finish work at stupid o'clock and drive home. This was a time when you could drive on the motorway at night and be lucky to see 2 other cars.
Anyways, although by no stretch the fastest car in the world, this thing adored the motorway and on several occasions in the black of night i would be flying along and always remember S***ing myself when i saw the speedo pass 140mph, and it still had more to give... Great memories...

Did i say 140 mph, i meant 70mph officer!!!

I would have to say the Z4 we have is the quickest car we have had but drove the Z3 to its limits chasing a Merc who was showing off till he learnt he could not shake me and he gave up in the end

As a car it would have been the E90 M3 that I drove for 2 days during my bmw-advanced-drivers-training on the Nurburgring.
Great handling car.

On the 2 days, we achieved an average of 33 L/100km (= +/-8.5 mls/gallon (uk))
