Formula 1 drivers have received a collective telling off from the FIA after both Kimi Räikkönen and Sebastian Vettel swore during live podium interviews in Abu Dhabi.
The sporting governing body has now sent out a letter to all teams.

In the United Kingdom alone, the BBC received 22 calls about the swearing and a subsequent 30 calls for the delay in posting the show on iPlayer, which allows fans to watch the race back online; the editing process was delayed as the expletives were edited out.

“Well, knowing Kimi, I do believe he just said it…but Sebastian as well!” said former driver David Coulthard, BBC F1 pundit who conducted the interviews.

What's this I hear about Ferrari stuffing Massas gearbox so Alonso got the better side of the track?

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/104364

Domenicali insisted after the race that it was the right call and he is convinced any other team would have done the same in his situation.

"Yes, otherwise we wouldn't have done it," Domenicali said when asked if the decision was in the spirit of the regulations. "I prefer to be totally transparent, because with something like that you can easily simulate something if you want. But I felt it was more correct to say the truth. This is our style, my style.

"It is something that is our responsibility to do and retrospectively we knew that the difference in grip level on the two sides was very high. And we knew that if we were thinking of trying to be in the fight in Brazil it was very important to have the first car in front in the first couple of laps, otherwise the race would have been almost finished.

"At the end of the day, retrospectively, I think that was the right thing to do. When you work for the Ferrari team you know that the team is the centre of the decisions and the drivers respect it. I have to thank Felipe for that."

TITLE MATHS
If you're in any doubt as to the title maths for the Brazilian GP between Vettel and Alonso, here's the various permutations...
Alonso must finish on the podium to stand a chance of snatching the title from Vettel (even if Vettel retires).
Victory for Alonso would give him the title if Vettel finishes lower than fourth.
Second place for the Spaniard would mean he would only win the title if Vettel failed to make the top seven.
Third spot for Alonso would require Vettel to finish lower than ninth.

In Summary
Hamilton on pole, Button 2nd for McLaren 1-2
Vettel 4th, Alonso 8th
Vettel heads Alonso by 13 points in standings

BBC F1 chief analyst Eddie Jordan
"Something inside me says, and I don't know why, but tomorrow I feel we will have a Spanish world champion.

GET INVOLVED

Gareth Rees on Twitter: "It's a shame a good driver like Kovalainen doesn't think he will get a seat just because he doesn't have financial banking."

Joshua Milton on Twitter: "Very honest interview there by Heikki Kovalainen. Respect to him for not feeling the need to go begging for cash to race at the back."

Caterham's Heikki Kovalainen: "This could be my last ever qualifying in F1. It seems difficult at the moment. I will give 100% tomorrow but it doesn't look very good to be honest. I don't know what else I could have done in this season to make a difference."

Badger GP said:
Pastor Maldonado has been handed a 10-place grid penalty for his 3rd reprimand of 2012 - Alonso now starts 7th
Now if they could only manage to get Vettel a 5 place grid penalty to put him behind Alonso :ymdevil: :ymdevil:

I just hope that the championship is won on the track and not due to reliability.

Should be a cracking race if the McLarens show the same pace as last race.

I found this to be quite an interesting read.

Formula 1's greatest drivers. Number 1: Ayrton Senna
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/20324109

At the height of their rivalry, one of the greatest sport has known, Alain Prost remarked: "Ayrton has a small problem. He thinks he can't kill himself, because he believes in God, and I think that's very dangerous."

Well, as far as I am concerned, a brilliant afternoon in front of the telly.... :D
Hulkenberg had a fantastic drive in his Force India..... ^:)^
Well done Button, great win and you got me some points....... :-bd

In Summary
Button wins, Vettel is world champion
Grosjean, Senna, Maldonado, Perez out
Hamilton out

BBC
1752:
Sebastian Vettel parks his Red Bull up in the pit lane and is surrounded by a gang of snappers. The German is embraced by Michael Schumacher, it's like the handing over of the baton. Vettel then climbs on top of his Red Bull and throws his hair up in celebration before sitting on the engine cover and riding his car like a horse.

LAP 71
A bit of an anticlimax as everyone backs off and it looks like this race will finish under the safety car.

LAP 70
Paul di Resta has lost control at the final corner and smashed into the wall. The yellow flags are out, the safety car is out and that basically means Sebastian Vettel is world champion as no overtaking is allowed.

LAP 64
Michael Schumacher pulls over and lets Sebastian Vettel past for sixth. It's a parting gift.

David Coulthard, BBC F1 co-commentator
"Will Michael Schumacher give up a position to helpSebastian Vettel win this title? They are going to be team-mates at the Race of Champions so they do have a close bond..."

Caterham owner Tony Fernandes on Twitter: "We have done it. We have done it. We have have done it. Came 11th and got back to 10th. Worth a lot of money to us. Well done everyone at Caterham."

It was always going to be nigh on impossible for Alonso, unless Vettel didn't finish. Some interesting moments, and real tough luck for Hamilton.

I have to admit I prayed for more rain, only to liven the race up a bit more. Nothing like unpredictable conditions to mix things up, and it certainly did. Nice for the season to run right down to the last race, and not be a foregone conclusion like other seasons.
