I am all the more tempted to rig up a computer to activate the solenoid, but I just need to figure out where to pinch the RPM from easily

I can tell you the feed from the ECU (Siemens MS42) is from pin 18 on plug X60004

Showing plug X60004 and terminal 18 wiring track .
Saw this thought i was onto a winner with fuse 13 went out to have a look fuse 13 ok
Next issue
Fuse box cover says fuse 13 ,18 is fuel pump

So once again further on but no further forward.

More trials took place yesterday...

Car up to operating temp (I think) (needle was in the middle so I guess that is the best you can do)

We then put a meter on the solenoid connector pins and it read battery voltage regardless of what we did with the engine

I revved it to 3k+ but no change, weird

I am all the more tempted to make a separate computer control it, maybe I make it into a kit !

Still frustrating though
