"Paul Rice will set up the Ollerton meet to run down"
Thanks for volunteering me Grumpy:arghh::arghh:

Thanks for the tips thus far. Dated and time edited for all to see, however, at risk of sounding like an IT 'tard, is there a tab like on FB for attendees coming or do I put them in manually? No offence taken by the way in anticipation Lol =))

Ok, from you list I hope to be able to attend and will be heading up from the south via the M4 / A417--A419 / M5 and further up to meet the rest. As such anybody from the south can tag along from the services M4 / A34 then just after the M5 / M50 Strencham for those from the South West and South Wales. Hope we can then have a good run up further north.

Who is heading up then ? Lets make this a good day of remembrance :-)

57 miles from Ollerton to the NMA avoiding motorways 1:30 hrs so would need to be away by 8:30 to be there for ten takes us through Derby so could meet up with the south contingent around Derby?

@Grumpy Its good to have some humour and banter. One thing.. who is up for laying a wreath on behalf of the forum as a mark of respect ? A few pounds each and we could have a nice one :-)

Just looked at a Web site www.ladyhaigspoppyfactory.org.uk they are based in Scotland and employee ex servicemen most of which are registered disabled. Seems like the right place to buy. I'll get one if all are OK and sort out the administration later. They range from £25 - £60.

@Andy McDonnell You can put me in for some funds towards a good one. Its the least I can do after what these service personal and merchant navy / civilians have given.

Sorry its the way I was brought up, with respect for service personal etc, I was born and lived in Portsmouth most of my life. Home of the Royal Navy and I have a lot of friends who served and still do.

I will add to the donation. Anything for the Forces. Both me and my Son have served Queen and Country. ooooh the good old days
