Dinan Front Strut Brace Question

I bought a Dinan strut brace and installed it according to the directions, but it doesn't quite clear what looks like a black plastic breather tube in the middle top of the engine. I twisted the brace toward the front of the car so it clears, but now it's not parallel to the ground. Will it function correctly like this? It doesn't look right...

As long as it's bolted up tight it doesn't matter what angle the center bar is at

Might touch the bonnet insulation though

Hi, I was thinking of adding this brace. Was wondering how it worked out? Do you race it or just looking for extra handling while zipping around. ...Im in the later category.
