Resting Zeds.jpg

The Zed Rouge resting in its garden after a 500 mile trip from Calais to the Dordogne on the skinny spare wheel. I previously posted it in the wrong forum area.
That’s a great shot!

Thanks for the kind comment! It was taken using an old Lumix G2 micro four-thirds camera, fitted with an expensive Olympus 12-40 mm Pro lens. A really good lens is better than any number of megapixels.

We should start up a Camera thread!

Almost never use mine on the car build due to the dirty, oily, glue-covered environment the car currently resides in. iPhone is perfect for recording the build process and grabbing a quick shot like the rainbow picture above.

Having said that, when you want a quality shot, as Mike said, you cannot beat good glass. This pic below is taken on the Sony A6000 Mirrorless Camera with Sony Professional G-Series 18-105 f4 lens (The camera does have one or two megapixels as well but these of course have been massively reduced to be able to upload to the forum) the difference between this and a phone picture is staggering (especially if blown up to any size).

The above lens is quite bulky however, but the camera is compact. For travelling I use it with a little 16-35 pancake lens and the whole thing fits in my jacket pocket.
