We had a great run yesterday along the coastal road from Cawsand to Seaton in Cornwall. High cliff roads with amazing views, just what Zeds are made for.

The Z3 is driving better than ever. The previous owner did 500 miles in 5 years, I‘ve done that in a week! I have to say when I acquired the car, it didn’t seem to run particularly well, quite smokey, sluggish and stiff. After some long drives it’s now running like a dream, I absolutely love it. I’m not sure if it’s my imagination, but I’m convinced the more it’s driven, the better it runs?

Just need to find some petrol now to get home, I will need a full tank back to Reading!

Like any car it needs running, they're just not designed to sit for months at a time doing nothing (worse still, short journeys). Once warmed up a red line a day keeps the carbon away 😎

The C-in-C's Skoda Yeti does very short trips several times a day, once every month or so I take it for a 2 hour round trip to Penrith and back, runs sweet as on the way back.

They thrive on use and that is a great place to do it.

Sounds like you had an amazing drive! I had a similar experience with my car—it was a bit sluggish at first, but after some long trips, it ran much better. I think you’re onto something; driving it more definitely helps. I once had to make a long trip and ended up needing to learn more about business class flight deals for a smoother journey. It made a big difference for me, so a full tank for your ride back to Reading sounds like a great idea.
