Colour coded door handles

Always thought the standard black handles were a bit bland and looked better colour coded or chrome. So before and after pictures.
 
I went for the chrome to match the Gills / Vents better than black.
 
Mine are colour coded=))
 
On my artic silver 2.8 I have chrome ones. Think chrome looks better on silver than colour coded.
 
Sure. Got a cheap set of 'chrome' door handles from Ebay, I think China £9.95 all in and got Halfords to mix the blue for me. Few coats grey primer, couple coats topcoast and a few coats laquer.
 
Look under your bonnet on the left inner fender and you should find a label with your paint code and name. If it's missing enter the last 7 digits of your VIN into the BMW search link. JIM

Hi John, how do you find these handles compare in feel and durability to the original ones? ie do they feel cheap and cheerful compared with originals.
Did they come with new little rubber gaskets?
Thinking of doing this when I get some paint done but maybe keeping the black ones untouched.
 
Hi Dino D. They are the handles that I purchased. Not sure if I was going to keep them as chrome whether I would have looked to buy a dearer set. Having sprayed them they seem to look and feel more robust and I would recommend them for tenner.If you really are not sure I can drop you one in the post to have a look at.
