For those who don't want to spend out I asked Cliff he said try toothpaste just a normal whitening one
For faded dull lights try a small area first if happy do the whole light once happy apply a wax or sealant to last longer.
Hope that's a help.

problem with thr toothpaste thing is that its not really abrasive enough to bring back really cruddy headlights.

I used some normal polish and my mop with a spray of water. Mopped it for 45 seconds and they came up like new. Still good now 6 months down the line.

You can get different abrasive toothpastes was just a cheap option for those who dont want to buy headlight kits .

I'm using Oral B 3D White Luxe toothpaste at the moment :p
And it's really bitty :)
I think it might do the job ;)

I used the AutoGlym kit it was good I managed to get it on offer at Halfords 30 percent off last month. However a friend of mine used the 3M kit with very similar result.

It took about 2 hrs to clean both off :)

Hi all, my mate Iain who some of you met last weekend at "Just Jane" has attacked his wife's XC90 headlamps with sandpaper. I have to say he's done a superb job and the lamps look as good as new. It scares me bloody witless thinking about scratching the hell out of them with 400 grit! He starting with 400 running up in 200's finishing off with 1200 keeping the paper soaking wet at all times.
Has anyone else done this? If I get a bit more positive feedback I'm going to do the 75 before I take it for MOT then if successful I will dare to tackle the Zed :nailbiting:. There not too bad on the Zed but If I can make them look better then all good and well.
I've used 3M kit from amazon. Multiple pads and buffing compound. To be used on drill or cordless drill (very slow though). Two headlamps took me about an hour to complete, looks like new. Mine was very bad, so I've ordered two kits.
