I’ve not but have read some review using a clay mit. Positives is that the process is quicker but for deeper contaminants a clay bar is better. The same application of lubricant applies as you can mare the paint but I think that’s a worry for softer paints than BMW. You can even get clay pads for your DA now even quicker but easier to do some damage I can imagine.

ive used a one by mothers. it is quicker, easier and cleaner. I didn't see enough difference to go back to a bar. the way you have to keep folding in the bar is a pain.

I've used the one that @Antm72 used and the results I thought were quite good , used a bucket of car shampoo as the lubricant.

if it mars it needs cleaned off. I use a detailer as the lube , and two or three good micro fibers and keep the seams folded in

Yep, panels completely drenched and no pressure used at all.
