Have read all threads and it seams a lot are for and as many against, I've come to the conclusion that if you or I did what he did at work we would be dismissed, would he a Millionaire support you in the same predicament?,of course not, cos he don't know or care about you or me, he won't join the dole cue he's made for life that's all he cares about, I can't say I never watched it but it has run its run and I've been a bigger fan of Tiff a drivers driver.
Just another rich overpaid celeb,plenty more where he came from.

From what I've seen Mr Clarkson has NOT been sacked, he's simply not having his contract renewed when it runs out - the two are quite different.

Being sacked (dismissed) would have meant him not getting paid to the end of his contract, the way things stand he will not be working but will still get paid to end of that contract. So for now UK license payers are gong to be footing the bill for him and his two side-kicks with no shows currently planned, a bizarre decision at best, especially for such a money spinner.

Given the results of the disciplinary hearing I wonder why the BBC felt it wasn't OK to sack him, he could hardly have claimed unfair dismissal? If (as has been suggested) the BBC wanted rid of him they could have announced they weren't renewing his contract at any point anyway without all of this.

Now that the level of the verbal and physical attack has come out shouldn't he have been dismissed?

Totally agree, and all because of the unique way it's funded... Funny how it's those who fund it end up with the rough end of the deal by paying someone to sit on his butt...

Well I liked the program and the three pranksters! Yes there all idiots really but if we all sat about with our arms crossed looking stern life would be bloody boring! They all want to grow up, he wants to apologise, the BBC want to grow a spine and let everything get back to normal. I agree the program has run a bit weak but me and Jue still loved to sit down on a Sunday evening and have a laugh with the 3 off them larking about. It's simple, we all have choices, if you like it watch it, if you don't then don't!

I have no problem with the program or any of the presenters,some times I watch it sometimes I don't I've even done some work or it.BUT WHERE IN THE WORLD CAN IT BE CORRECT OR RIGHT TO PUNCH ,HIT OR SLAP ANYONE! Clarkson, can't really say I'll miss him, ME!!!!! I'll just get on with my little life and see what I can make of the rest of it, bet he wouldn't look twice at a Z, says it all really, yeh!!! Clarkson has brought all this down on his own head by his own thuggish behaviour and all those people (idiots in my humble opinion) who have supported him need to stand back and think. If JC actually gave a toss about his viewers he might not have put himself in a position whereby he can't make the programme which Top Gear fans want so badly anymore. Selfish English pig. Oops, is that racist too?
