Christmas working banter (removed from event thread)

I know a guy who used to work at Cottam power station on the banks of the Trent, he volunteered for Christmas work every year to avoid being at home ! Re the shops opening this was really started by non Christian people (no I'm not pointing fingers here) who came here and the Christmas period meant nothing to them so why not open their shops? The thing that drives shops being open are the people who want to go shopping, take the Boxing Day sales, you will never catch me there, but to many it's something they "have" to do. Just a sign of the times we live in. No going back now.

Tony.
What's Christmas got to do with Christians? It was a pagan festival, popularised by the ancient Romans, who took a week off from the 17th to the 25th for debauchery and general mayhem, as a consequence all courts and shops were closed, and no one could be punished for a crime during this period, perhaps we should return to the true meaning of Christmas, hail Ceasar...

I am in my final year of a Medical science degree and work in orthopaedic surgery in theatres to pay for it. So I am working Christmas day Christmas in theatres can be either extremely busy depending on the weather (trauma) or completely flat. You can never tell what will come through the door though.

Yeah, Donna is pretty cool with things I worked as a commercial photographer for years, a lot of magazine work, Royal Photographic Society, exhibitions as well as fetish clubs, old derelict mental asylums and websites. The only time she sort of lost it was a shoot I did in our front room, I have a 1930,s Sterling dental chair which I used for a cling-film shoot. Finished the shoot did not have time to clear up properly before I drove the model to the station, Donna came home to studio lights and a lot of cling-film on the floor.

She knew I was doing the shoot and did not have a problem with that, I guess though faced with all the mess that was too much, never shot another model in the house after that.
