Really is an excellent read mate, when I was reading it on holiday Shirl kept giving me a nudge cos I was laughing so much. Author was born in Scotland and emigrated to Aus as a youngster.

@Zeti you can freeze your wheel nuts off in the Sahara desert at night in the winter time.
When we drove out of camp every morning at 05.30hrs you could hear the sand/ice crunching under the 4x4 and when we got desert driving instruction (yes, we had to get a desert driving licence) by the SAS they told us never to put antifreeze in the windscreen washer water container as you might need to drink it one day.
