Catching Mice (posts moved from Nitrogen thread)

I Don't like mice, My Triumph has been off the road this year because of the wee critters

last winter they got into the car and made a nest in the glove box with two hats i had in there

resulting in a full new wiring loom being installed

and that is with traps down and electronic devices fitted in the garage.

all they are is Bl**dy pests

Mice over in my province are carrying a disease and if you find mouse droppings in a vehicle they are writing them off and destroying them. New, old don't matter.

You're right, they taste the same no matter what age. The old fat ones are best, not as picky getting the meat off the bones, especially the toes! I prefer them smoked myself.

Just received a message from my wife back home. A mouse got into her heating vents and when she turned on the AC in her 2013 ford fusion she was greeted with foam pieces and mouse turds. Insurance claim of £4-5K to clean, repair and disinfect. Nasty little critters. JIM

Some of those 'goodies' used for baiting the trap are not allowed in our house.
Our cat brings in mice regularly and lets them go. Most times he will catch them again and dispatch them, if not I do it!
So I need a trap and a supply of Mars bars then, rather than waiting for hours for Jerry to come out from behind the freezer.

If you are going to use your Mars bar to end the life of the little vermin creature, then frozen definitely works best!

Hi Mike, no snow at home but I'm in Alberta till this evening and they had three days of it a week and a half ago. All melted by the time I got here though and the weather up till yesterday has been great. I'm hoping our weasel comes back this winter, didn't have a mouse problem last year. JIM
