I've read a few of these stories, including from the US. You'd always like to think there's an exciting reason but there never seems to be. I think it just cost too much money in those days to have the car taken away/scrapped so people buried them in their gardens/land because they could get away with it then and it solved the issue of what to do with it.Why did your Uncles bury their cars?
