That looks like new underneath and in the engine bay, you sure found a solid base car.

Really looking forward to this. About time too @Dino D
Thanks for tagging me Lee, Sir Percival has kindly let me buy the panels which will come in handy to replace some of my less than perfect ones.
Unfortunately they won't fit in the Z so have to hire a van for the drive up instead :(

Yep, its a DNA kit that transforms the car into a copy of the one in "Ferris Buellers day off" a 1961 SWB 250 Ferrari California

The one above, the second kit to be completed, just sold on ebay for 45K....admittedly it was very nicely done....but doesn't look like I will loose any money and have fun at the same time....a win/win as they say...makes a change with my luck!!

I have studied the stats and with the 2,8 that I have, even the performance is on a par with the original...so it definitely won't be "all show, and no go" as many kit cars are. I'm enjoying it very much and very excited....like a big kid really....my wife thinks I was deprived of toys as a child...I told her that I couldn't get any big toys into the coal shed with me anyway :arghh:

Heading up to Redditch tomorrow to meet @Sir Percival and pick up the panels.

Will be a long trip but have managed to bag a nice hire van for tomorrow, a VW T6 140bhp TDI with DSG and aircon from a local company. The nice chap I spoke with at the rental company has a Z3 2.8 from new and is on the forum but I didn't get his forum name - is it you @Alan W by any chance?

Not me Dino.. I've had my car 3 years and my friend owned it for 8 years before that.. I am a nice chap too though.. if your purchase includes the front bumper I'm after a number plate mount if its surplus to your requirements?
